The Three Little Pigs

So I've been working on this project for a client for a while now, "The Three Little Pigs." Here is the cover without text.

Originally the wolf was in this picture, watching the pigs from behind a tree, but the client wanted a simply happy image without the wolf.

I gotta upload more stuff someday. But that's it for now, space rangers.

  1. That's awesome that you're doing client work already! How did you start getting work, in college no less? I'd also be interested in how you handle your commission prices too.

    1. Hi Shara! I saw your work on the walls--it was really good!

I'm actually already graduated, but I wish I'd pursued work more when I was in school. So far, the diploma hasn't really made any sort of difference for me in whether I find work or not.

I think a lot of it comes down to networking, which I'm still working on! I've posted my portfolio and such on different websites and am trying to build up my skills so that I can start submitting for bigger and better things. Sometimes people remember you and a connection is made, and sometimes not.

As for commission pricing, right now I find out what the budget is for the project and decide from there if I think it's worth my time. Some people are not willing to actually pay money for work, and so usually I ask about the budget right away before deciding to work on a project.

I'm still trying to figure things out and find where my little niche in the illustration world is, so I guess none of that is very helpful. Sorry!
